Live Charts is a stackable workspace for live NSE options analytics. You add as many chart components as you need (up to five) and they share one timeframe, one range slider and a synced crosshair, so you can read OI change, total open interest and the put-call ratio for one or many F&O symbols on a single screen. Every component overlays the underlying future price, so option-flow shifts can be read against the move that caused them. ### Which chart components can I add? Three today: OI Change (per-interval change in Call and Put open interest, drawn as side-by-side bars), Open Interest (the running total Call and Put OI as two lines), and Put-Call Ratio (PCR = total Put OI divided by Call OI as a single line). Each component also carries the future price as a dashed overlay. Use the Add button to pick a type — new users start with one of each enabled. ### How is OI Change different from Open Interest? OI Change is the delta per candle — how much Call and Put OI was added or unwound in that interval — so it surfaces fresh writing and short-covering as it happens. Open Interest is the cumulative total across the selected strikes, which shows the standing Call and Put walls that act as resistance and support. Read OI Change for the momentum of positioning, and Open Interest for where the big standing positions sit. ### What does the Put-Call Ratio (PCR) line tell me? PCR is total Put OI divided by total Call OI for the strikes you've selected. A PCR above 1 means more puts are open than calls (often read as supportive / bullish positioning); below 1 means calls dominate (resistance / bearish positioning). The level matters less than the trend — a rising PCR while price holds suggests put writers are confident, while a falling PCR into a rally can flag call writing capping the move. The future line on the same chart lets you line the ratio up against price directly. ### What do the 'All' and 'ATM ± N' strike options do? 'All' uses the entire option chain for that symbol — best for headline totals and PCR. 'ATM ± N' narrows to N strikes either side of the at-the-money strike, which focuses OI Change on the levels price is actually trading around. Open Interest and Put-Call Ratio default to All; OI Change defaults to ATM ± 10. You can also switch to Custom and pick exact strikes. ### Can I compare multiple symbols at once? Yes. Each component has its own symbol selector, so you can stack Nifty OI Change above BankNifty Open Interest above a stock's PCR, all on the same timeframe. The synced crosshair ties them together — hover any chart and every other chart highlights the same minute, which makes it obvious whether OI buildups are moving together or diverging across symbols. ### How often does the data update? All charts are live and refresh together on a shared one-minute countdown during market hours. The timeframe selector (1m / 3m / 5m / 15m / 1h) re-buckets every chart at once, and the bottom time axis is shared so all stacked charts stay aligned on the same intraday window. ## How to use Live Charts 1. **Add the charts you need** — Use the Add menu to drop in OI Change, Open Interest and/or Put-Call Ratio components — up to five in total. New users already have one of each. 2. **Choose a symbol per chart** — Each component has its own symbol picker. Keep them all on Nifty, or mix Nifty, BankNifty and individual F&O stocks to compare flow across the market. 3. **Set the shared timeframe** — Pick 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m or 1h. The timeframe applies to every chart at once so they stay comparable. 4. **Tune the strike range** — Leave it on All for totals and PCR, or narrow to ATM ± N (or a Custom set) to focus OI Change on the strikes around the money. 5. **Read across charts with the crosshair** — Use the range slider to zoom the session and hover any chart — the synced crosshair marks the same moment on every chart, with the future price overlaid so you can tie option flow to the price move. ## Related tools - [PE-CE Difference](https://stockmojo.in/pe-ce-difference) — markdown: https://stockmojo.in/pe-ce-difference.md - [Open Interest](https://stockmojo.in/open-interest) — markdown: https://stockmojo.in/open-interest.md - [Put-Call Ratio](https://stockmojo.in/put-call-ratio) — markdown: https://stockmojo.in/put-call-ratio.md ## Glossary Terms used: oi-change, open-interest, put-call-ratio, pcr, live-charts, nifty.
